God does not come to condemn us, he comes to free us and release us into the kind of life we always longed for. "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full ..." (Jesus, John 10:10).
I sense to relay a vision I had in May of 1997 (I have only had three visions in my life). I believe that it may have some consequence for the body of Christ.
I was up at 5 in the morning praying and seeking the Lord. There were a lot of "crazy" spiritual things going on with me during this period of time. As I was waiting on the Lord, a vision occurred to me, which I could see as well as one sees a movie. This was not some "thing" of the mind, that was "sensed". I actually saw it.
I saw an attractive black lady stand before me. She had a rose colored dress on and had hair that had been straightened and was fixed up nice. She looked to be fairly well off and carried herself confidently. Next thing, a "man" dressed in flowing, sparkling white garb walked up to her and knocked on her heart with His hand. She said yes, come in, and He then proceeded to walk into her and the scene became Him walking through a beautiful temple. The temple reminded me of one of those houses we used to see on Miami Vice, one that was worth millions and millions of dollars, and can be seen in Miami Beach if you are rich enough to be allowed into the residential complex.
He walked slowly and purposefully throughout the temple from floor to floor of which there were three. It was as if He was letting me see how wonderful and jewel like this place was. It literally sparkled. Everything in there was beyond price, and everything was perfectly placed and nothing was out of place.
He then proceeded down the stairs to the basement floor, which was below the three floors above. It seemed like that it took forever to get to where He was heading. I watched Him as He walked slowly down a long hallway (and this cellar was as lavish as most of our homes are, by the way) and finally came to a room at the extreme end of the temple. He stood at the door and knocked lightly upon the door. No one answered. He knocked harder, and still no answer.
Finally He threw open the door without any effort at all, and there inside was the most dark, dirty, filthy, smelly room that one could ever envision. The walls were full of feces and I could actually smell the stink in the vision. I was appalled and turned away.
But, then as I turned, I caught out of my peripheral vision a figure far back against the wall of the darkened room, and I stopped to look. In the back of the terrible room was a hairy creature, cowardly crouching as if to delay what was to happen. The strong, sparkling "man" reached out His right hand and grabbed the creature by the throat and dragged him out to the hallway, without even taking a step into the filthy room.
The "man" then proceeded to wrap a scarlet cord around the entire body of the creature who gave no resistance at all. The He took the creature by the hair of his head and dragged it down the hallway to the extreme other end of the hall. At that end was a balcony and He dragged the creature out onto the balcony and picked it up as if it weighed nothing, as the "man" appeared to be super-human. He then tossed the creature into outer space into a black hole. He turned around, and just grinned a satisfied smile and started back down the hallway and we ended up at the entrance to the filthy, foul smelling room.
At this point, the tears started to flow from my eyes, even as they do now, as I again relate the vision. The "man" (Jesus, of course) produced a scrub brush out of thin air, and then stepped into the room and got down on His hands and knees, and started to scrub the room down. As He scrubbed the walls, floor and ceiling, the room seemed to fade into white and merged into one with Him. Soon I could not see the room, I could only see Him.
He then seemed to look at me and seemed to speak to me, and said, "My people are burdened down with a secret sin that they keep in a room, deep within their otherwise beautiful temples. They cherish this secret sin, and make no effort to rid themselves of it. As a matter of fact they protect it, from me, and from the reality of what it has done to them. They love their sin, sometimes as much as they say they love Me. I don't condemn them, I have pity upon them. If only they would believe that I have delivered them of sin, even their secret sin, they could live lives much more bountiful and enduring. If only they would ask Me, I would come in and toss out the demon that prevails upon them, and that creature will never be heard of again. I will throw that creature into the nether world where no creature wants to go. If only My people would ask !"
I came to myself, and later that evening, I was called by a pastor in Dallas, Texas asking if I would come to their church the next day to pray for healing for their son in law who suffered from malignant melanoma, and was soon to die. This was almost an impossible task both literally and financially, to perform. God worked it out and I flew into Dallas the next day and walked into the morning service of an inner city, inter-racial church where hundreds were praising the Lord. (Mother's Day by the way). No sooner than I started to walk down the aisle to greet a pastor that I had never even met, my eyes over flowed with tears.
As I finished hugging the pastor sitting in the front row, I looked up into the choir, and there standing, as real as can possibly be, was the lady that I had envisioned the morning before. I said, "Lord ! What am I to do ?" He said, "Relate your vision, just as you saw it". A few minutes later I was on the stage, and Holy Spirit moved wondrously as I related what I had seen the day before. At least 100 people flooded the altar amidst moanings and groanings, wailing and loud crying of all the people in the auditorium, when urged to come forward as a sign of faith that they desired to be rid of their "secret sin". The black lady in my vision never came forward.
May the Lord bless your reading of this vision that it may convict the reader of any hidden sin that one has refused to really deal with in the past. It is only a matter of truly calling the "man", Jesus Christ, to come into your temple and cast out that creature that has encamped in the deepest recesses of your heart.
