Email from God

Subject: [NEW-WINE] Dream: e-mail from God

Hi fellow-laborers !

I don't usually have dreams that mean much, but last night's was
interesting, so I thought I'd send it along....

I dreamed that I had met a new friend, a woman, and somehow I knew that
although she was new to our church, she wasn't a new believer, in fact she
had been a believer for a long time. She hadn't heard much about this new
move of the Holy Spirit though, so I spent time talking to her about all the
things I had seen God doing lately, hoping that my excitement would be
contagious. Unfortunately she remained kind of unenthusiastic about all my
stories.

One day to my surprise she received an email on my computer, so respecting
her privacy I folded it up and gave it to her unread. Later that same day
she received another, and another, and finally another, all of which I gave
to her unread. My curiosity got the best of me, and after the 4th letter I
asked who they were from. It turned out she had only glanced at them and
said she wasn't sure what they were about, and she gave them to me to read.
I was amazed as I realized they were all from Jesus, and every letter said
EXACTLY the same thing ! They were all love letters, declaring His love and
affection for her, all of them identical. They were the letters of a Man in
love to His beloved ! I showed this to her, carefully comparing them to each
other so she would understand how important it was that they were all the
same. She didn't seem to get it, and what woke me up was my frustration and
a sense of urgency that she MUST understand the importance of the sameness.

I stayed up for a while, praying and asking God for an interpretation, and I
believe this is what He showed me ... she was in fact His beloved, she was the
church, the Bride ! And she had gone a long time not understanding or even
paying much attention to what God was doing. But His love for her had never
changed, no matter what state she was in, He always felt the same love for
her. But, the TIME had changed, and it is now the time for the Bridegroom to
declare His love boldly for the Bride, the time to court her in fact ! He is
excited, and He wants her to be excited also ! He wants to fuel her
anticipation of the coming event with declarations of His love for her ! So
far, she hasn't caught a sense of His passion, but He intends to continue to
woo her with love letters until she GETS IT !

O Lord Jesus, whisper to us day and night of your deep abiding love ! Set us
ablaze with passion for your kisses ! Fill us with anticipation for the big
day, when we are swept into your arms of love ! WOW ! !
